.EU domains: Sunrise period will start on December 7th, 2005

The EuRid, the registry for the top level domain .EU to be, has announced that the pre-reservations for the new .eu domain will start on December 7th, 2005.


The following timetable has been arranged:

  December 7th, 2005 - Start sunrise phase 1

  February 7th, 2006 - Start sunrise phase 2

  April 7th, 2006 - Start landrush (live registration)

If the terms can be kept is currently unknown. The prices for .EU domains are not completely defined yet, but will definitely much higher than those of .cnobi domains.

As soon as we have further information about fixed dates and the detailed process, we will inform our customers right away and start with the pre-registration of .eu domains.
